Draft Rules and Regulations
 
The various draft rules and regulations under the Information Technology Act, 2000 that we have assisted the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India in drafting, include those pertaining to:

  • the electronic form in which filing, issue, grant or payment shall be effected under the Indian law;

  • the manner and format in which electronic records shall be filed, or issued and the method of payment under the Indian law;

  • the security procedure for the purpose of creating secure electronic record and secure digital signature under the Indian law;

  • other standards to be observed by the Controller;

  • the fee to be paid to the Certifying Authority for issue of a Digital Signature Certificate;

  • the procedure for investigation of misbehavior or incapacity of the Presiding Officer;

  • any other power of a civil court required to be prescribed under section 58(2)(g) of the Information Technology Act;

  • particulars relating to maintenance of database containing the disclosure record of every Certifying Authority;

  • conditions and restrictions subject to which the Controller may recognize any foreign Certifying Authority;
