Diploma Course on Cyber Laws Started
The Hitavada January 10, 2002 The Post-Graduate Department of Law, University of Nagpur, and the Asian School of Cyber Laws have jointly initiated a diploma course in Cyber Laws. Informing newsmen, Head of the Post-Graduate Department of Law Thrity Patel and Debasis Nayak said the course will be conducted in 36 sessions during three months period.The classes will be run two hours everyday and for four days a week. At the end of the course, the fees for which will be Rs 4,500, the participants will have to appear for a written examination, they said. The students will also have to submit a project on an approved topic and appear for a moot court, viva-voice, and practicals on the project to obtain the diploma certificate. The fees include the study material also they said informing that 22 students had been already registered for the first batch. Dr Patel said knowledge in the field of cyber laws has become imperative today keeping in mind the use of computers and internet that had entered in all walks of life. Any interested person can join the course, she said. The Asian School of Cyber Laws has been involved in training and creating awareness in the field of cyber laws since its very inception including conducting training sessions for corporate bodies, students and government entities including law enforcement agencies like Karnataka police and the Calcutta Police, Patel said urging the interested to take benefit of the course. |
