The GCCI in collaboration with the state government recently organized a one day seminar on ‘Information Security and Cyber Laws’ here. The programme was conducted by Rohas Nagpal, president of the Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune.

Nagpal covered various kinds of electronic threats which the world is facing and the objectives of information security. He gave an overview of cryptography, its metits and demerits. He narrated the protection available under various sections of IT Act-2000. “Though this Act has been in force for over a year, even IT professionals are not fully aware of it and its implications”.
