Counsellor

ASCL will be providing each participant with a 'student counsellor' with whom the participant will interact in weekly email and chat forums.

The counsellors shall guide the participants through the different topics of the course and assist them in successfully completeting the course.

All queries and difficulties of the participants regarding the course will be answered by the respective counsellor. The student counsellor will keep a record of the participants performance in the different modules and will advice them accordingly.

In addition, the counsellors will also regulate the participants involvement in group discussion forums and viva voce.

Certificate in Digital Signatures and Cryptography

Objectives: 
Digital Signatures are becoming the next buzzword in IT companies with the coming of the IT Act, 2000. The course enables participants to understand different standards of cryptography used all around the world and also teaches them the basics, functioning and benefits of digital signatures. ASCL has brought to India for the first time a course on such a sensitive and highly technical subject.

Participants shall be required to complete three online assessment exams of half hour duration Participants shall also be required to submit a research project (of minimum 1500 words) on any topic related to Cryptography, Encryption or Digital Signatures. Participants are required to get the topic pre-approved by their counsellor. After the submission of this project, participants shall, as part of their final assessment, have a session wherein a panel of experts shall ask them questions about their project. This session shall be held online and shall have a duration of up to 30 minutes.

Grades will be awarded as follows:

This course provides an insight into the technical aspects of hacking in the commercial world. Participants shall also be trained to protect their systems from such breaches of security. They shall be informed of the highly technical software/methods available to make their systems safe.

Objectives:
The exponential growth of the new economy has serious implications for all professionals. Presence on the Internet has become indispensable for old world companies also.

The Indian Information Technology Act, 2000 imposes severe penalties (up to 10 years imprisonment and fines of crores of rupees) for various acts, some of which are innocently committed by IT professionals in their day-to-day work. Mock Adalat - India's first Online Mootcourt Competition

MockAdalatTM is India's (and probably the world's) first online moot court competition. Participants are required to send two memorials, one for the prosecution and one for the defence.
